Basketball Recap: Wallace-Rose Hill Victorious

Pender came into Friday's match looking for another win against Wallace-Rose Hill, but Savannah Smith wouldn't allow it. The Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs came out on top against the Pender Patriots by a score of 32-25 on Friday thanks in part to Smith, who went 9 of 18 on her way to 19 points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in boards (four).

Another player making a difference was Sophie Sloan, who posted no points in addition to four steals and three blocks. Sloan is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Wallace-Rose Hill's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Wallace-Rose Hill will venture away from home to face off against Goldsboro at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Goldsboro will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Wallace-Rose Hill surely won't give up without a fight. Pender and Lakewood will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
