Baseball Recap: Hialeah Educational Academy Takes a Loss

Hialeah Educational Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Varela Vipers. The Biggie were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vipers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

BRYAN GONZALEZ was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of EISLER PEREZ, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Hialeah Educational Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Varela, they pushed their record up to 9-4-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Hialeah Educational Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-4 win against Southridge on the 22nd. As for Varela, they have also already played their next game, a 5-1 loss against Southwest on the 22nd.
