Soccer Game Preview: Morgan vs. East Lyme + How To Watch

The Morgan Huskies will face off against the East Lyme Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Morgan is headed into Thursday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Waterford. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Morgan came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Waterford are ranked 88th).

Meanwhile, East Lyme's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 2-0 to Bacon Academy. East Lyme haven't had much luck with Bacon Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

East Lyme's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-2. As for Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Morgan came out on top in a nail-biter against East Lyme in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
