Volleyball Recap: Nashoba Regional Finds Home Court Redemption Against Marlborough

There's no place like home for Nashoba Regional, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Marlborough Panthers on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

While Nashoba Regional won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 25-22.

Nashoba Regional can attribute much of their success to Megan Amaral, who had five aces and three digs. Those five aces gave Amaral a new career-high. Grace Cardoso also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Nashoba Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in ten consecutive matches.

Nashoba Regional's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Marlborough, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Nashoba Regional will challenge Leominster at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marlborough, they will face off against Shepherd Hill Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
