Baseball Recap: Ringgold Has No Trouble Against Albert Gallatin

While Ringgold put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Albert Gallatin. The Rams were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Colonials. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Colonials recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Anthony Koziel tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over 4.2 innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Ringgold is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 0-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Gavin Angotti and Andrew Sprinkle did most of the damage at the plate: Angotti scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Sprinkle went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, Angotti posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Demetri Lowe, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Ringgold always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matchups.

Ringgold's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Albert Gallatin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ringgold will welcome Greensburg Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Albert Gallatin, they will take on Northern Garrett at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
