Softball Recap: Hinsdale Central Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Hinsdale Central's offense. They came up short against the Downers Grove North Trojans on Wednesday, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Red Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hinsdale Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Downers Grove North, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Hinsdale Central will take on De La Salle at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Meteors will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Downers Grove North, they will square off against Downers Grove South at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
