Flag Football Game Preview: La Canada Spartans vs. Claremont Wolfpack

The La Canada Spartans will venture away from home to face off against the Claremont Wolfpack at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Canada's defense has only allowed 12.6 points per game this season, so Claremont's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, La Canada took their matchup with ease, bagging a 40-12 win over Rio Hondo Prep. Considering the Spartans have won five games by more than 25 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Claremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 32-15 bruising from Bonita. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Bearcats are ranked 78th).

La Canada will have to keep a close watch on Zenani Guannu and Ava Coronado, a pair of players who had a big impact on Claremont's prior game. Guannu picked up 128 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Coronado rushed for 30 yards and one TD.

Claremont's record is now 9-6. As for La Canada, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
