Softball Game Preview: Arlington Red Devils vs. Columbus Grove Bulldogs

The Arlington Red Devils will face off against the Columbus Grove Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Columbus Grove is headed out to face a Red Devils squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Arlington came up short against Hardin Northern on Wednesday, falling 20-9.

Meanwhile, Columbus Grove got the win against McComb on Tuesday by a conclusive 19-9.

Dakota Dunn was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. Dunn was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Columbus Grove let Zoey Patchet and Layla Bendele run wild. Patchet scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while Bendele scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Caidynce Schnipke was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
