Basketball Recap: New Auburn Takes a Loss

New Auburn has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 36-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clayton Bears on Wednesday. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

New Auburn's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 15-2. As for Clayton, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

While New Auburn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
