There's no place like home for Chagrin Falls, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mayfield Wildcats on Tuesday, sneaking past 47-44. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 60-53 loss the last time these two teams met.

Avery Russell had a dynamite game, shooting 71% from the field to rack up 29 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Kruse, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 boards.

The victory got Chagrin Falls back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Chagrin Falls will head out on the road to take on Chardon at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mayfield, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Maple Heights at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.
