West Oso won against George West last Friday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Bears walked away with a 6-3 win over the Aransas Pass Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Jashaud Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Julian Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaime Guerrero, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

West Oso's record is now 11-8. As for Aransas Pass, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. West Oso will challenge rival Odem at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Aransas Pass is set to face off against their familiar foe Taft at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
