Softball Game Preview: Abington Galloping Ghosts vs. Wissahickon Trojans

The Abington Galloping Ghosts will face off against the Wissahickon Trojans at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Wissahickon took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Abington, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, Abington turned things around against Cheltenham on Friday. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Galloping Ghosts this season.

Abington let Mia Lucke and Lily Rodgers run wild. Lucke got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Rodgers went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those two runs gave Lucke a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paige Holden, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Abington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Wissahickon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-0 to Plymouth Whitemarsh.

Abington's victory bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Wissahickon, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
