Football Recap: Matanzas Takes a Loss

Matanzas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. The contest between the Matanzas Pirates and the Pine Ridge Panthers didn't end well, with the Matanzas Pirates falling 18-0. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 19-0 to them when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The critical scores for Pine Ridge came from Greta Carlson, Kazzandra Tapia, and Thalia Rios-Diaz.

Matanzas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Matanzas will welcome Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Ridge, they have already played their next game, a 64-0 victory against Trinity Christian Academy on the 24th.
