Softball Recap: J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado vs. Penn Manor Comets
J.P. McCaskey extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 6-10 in the process. They lost 11-1 to the Penn Manor Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 two weeks ago.

As for Penn Manor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7. Considering they have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
On Penn Manor's side, Kyleigh Lamborn was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Lamborn has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Penn Manor got a big performance out of Riley Frank, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave Frank a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zuzu Hardy, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Coming up, J.P. McCaskey will challenge Reading at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Penn Manor, they will face off against Solanco at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Mules will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight.
