Softball Recap: Wood-Ridge Comes Up Short

Wood-Ridge suffered their closest loss since May 21, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the North Arlington Vikings by a score of 8-6. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Brooke Stellato made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Brielle Rivera was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Wood-Ridge and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for North Arlington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Wood-Ridge will take on Leonia at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for North Arlington, they will be playing at home against Lyndhurst at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
