Baseball Recap: South Park Comes Up Short

If South Park was feeling good fresh off their 17-10 takedown of Platte Canyon on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Burros came up short against the Huskies on Friday, falling 13-4. The Burros were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 17-10.

Kyle Basnett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aiden Wilson, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

South Park has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Platte Canyon, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Park will square off against Monte Vista at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Platte Canyon, they will head out to challenge Clear Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
