Grafton came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Elkins Tigers by a score of 2-0. The Bearcats were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Tigers, so the Bearcats were just returning the favor.

Grafton never let Elkins on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Elkins lost, don't look at Hannah Currence. Despite the final result, she had three digs and three aces. Jasmin Workman also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Grafton's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Elkins, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.

Grafton has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against East Fairmont on the 4th. As for Elkins, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Spring Valley on the 6th.
