Basketball Game Preview: Tippecanoe Valley Vikings vs. Western Panthers

The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings will take on the Western Panthers in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Western took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Tippecanoe Valley, who comes in off a win.

Tippecanoe Valley is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest victory since January 4th on Friday. They breezed by Jimtown to the tune of 50-17. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Jimmies are ranked 375th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Twin Lakes.

Western's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
