Volleyball Recap: James F. Byrnes Comes Up Short

James F. Byrnes was the 2-0 winner over Greer when they last played one another back in August of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Rebels took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellow Jackets on Saturday.

While James F. Byrnes ultimately came up short, they really made Greer work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18.

Aubree James paced James F. Byrnes' offense, picking up five kills. James got some help from Emerie Burroughs and her 12 assists.

James F. Byrnes' defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Greer, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

James F. Byrnes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Belton-Honea Path on the 27th. As for Greer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Dreher on the 27th.
