Baseball Game Preview: Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees vs. Meade County Green Waves

The Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees will head out on the road to square off against the Meade County Green Waves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bethlehem made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bullitt East, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles/Banshees fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles/Banshees in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Meade County posted their closest victory since April 18th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Larue County 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Green Waves in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

Lucas Hail was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double. Gavin Brown also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bethlehem's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Meade County, their victory bumped their record up to 19-10.

Bethlehem skirted past Meade County 8-7 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles/Banshees since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
