Basketball Game Preview: Wright vs. Livingston Collegiate Academy Wolves

Wright will head out to square off against the Livingston Collegiate Academy Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wright's defense has only allowed 27.9 points per game this season, so Livingston Collegiate Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Wright is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since December 13, 2024 on Monday. They put the hurt on Morris Jeff with a sharp 43-20 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Wright.

Meanwhile, Livingston Collegiate Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against De La Salle, falling 69-4. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Cavalier are ranked 123rd).

Wright's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Livingston Collegiate Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

Wright came up short against Livingston Collegiate Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 29-23. Can Wright avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
