Soccer Recap: Mathews' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Mathews was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the King William Cavaliers. The loss continues a trend for Mathews in their meetings with King William: they've now lost six in a row.

Mathews' goal came courtesy of Hailey Denkinger, who's now up to five this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mathews fell to 2-1. As for King William, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Mathews will challenge Northumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for King William, they will take on West Point at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
