Football Game Preview: Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons vs. Boulder City Eagles

The Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons will square off against the Boulder City Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Doral Academy Red Rock has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Boulder City will arrive with four straight victories.

Doral Academy Red Rock's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon on Tuesday. They were dealt a 40-0 defeat at the hands of the Pirate.

Meanwhile, Boulder City didn't have too much trouble with Sports Leadership & Management on Tuesday as they won 28-14.

Boulder City's win came from a few key players Doral Academy Red Rock will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Noelle Payne, who rushed for 165 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 115.5 rushing yards per game. Paige Bothwell was another key player, picking up 52 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Boulder City was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 352 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in January.

Boulder City's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Sancha Jenas-Keogh.

Doral Academy Red Rock's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Boulder City, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
