Recap: Southwood Cowboys vs. Captain Shreve Gators
The Southwood Cowboys entered their match against the Captain Shreve Gators on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Southwood was beaten by Captain Shreve 42-6. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southwood in their matchups with Captain Shreve: they've now lost seven in a row.
Quortni Beaner had a dynamite game for Captain Shreve, throwing for 158 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Keaton Flowers, who picked up 48 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Southwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Captain Shreve, the victory was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Southwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Captain Shreve is also done with their season.
