Lockwood never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the Greenfield Wildcats as they made off with a 10-0 victory. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Roper Gray made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Lockwood let Nik Thieman and Landry Ogden run wild. Thieman scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Ogden scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Ogden posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kolton Kleeman, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Lockwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Lockwood and bumps their season record up to 3-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Greenfield, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Lockwood will take on Sarcoxie at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenfield, they will square off against Verona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Verona has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.2 runs per game on average), something Greenfield will no doubt try to take advantage of.
