Toledo is a perfect 10-0 against Waldport since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Boomers will host the Irish at 4:30 p.m. Toledo is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
Last Tuesday, Toledo made easy work of Myrtle Point and carried off a 16-1 victory. Considering the Boomers have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kealey Coxen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Gracee Retherford and Faith Retherford did most of the damage at the plate: Gracee went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Faith went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two doubles gave Gracee a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shaylee Barnhart, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Waldport's offense. They lost 15-0 to Central Linn on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Irish's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Toledo's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.8 runs over those games. As for Waldport, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Toledo has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .539. However, it's not like Waldport struggles in that department as they've averaged .566. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
