Basketball Recap: Stringer Starts off Right with Win over Clarkdale

Stringer had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-36 win over the Clarkdale Bulldogs on Tuesday. This was payback for the Red Devils, who suffered a 55-51 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Clarkdale still got an impressive performance from Kyler Mosley, who posted eight points in addition to 12 rebounds and six assists. Jackson Kelly was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Clarkdale is on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Stringer will square off against Sylva Bay Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clarkdale, they will head out to take on Noxapater at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
