Indian Springs won the last time they faced Spring Mountain and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Thunderbirds blew past the Eagles 20-3. The Thunderbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

Carlos Aviles made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Indian Springs got a massive performance out of Jacob Gourley, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Gourley has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Adam Groeblinghoff, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.

Indian Springs lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Indian Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Spring Mountain, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Indian Springs will have a chance to go back-to-back against Spring Mountain: the pair will be back at it again later today.
