Commodore Perry suffers fifth straight loss on the road

The Commodore Perry Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 61-32 loss at the hands of Rocky Grove. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Commodore Perry in their matchups with the Orioles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Rocky Grove found their leader in underclassman Landen Carter, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five steals. Carter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Schiffer Anderson, who scored seven points along with seven assists and three steals.

Commodore Perry dropped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Rocky Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Commodore Perry will head out on the road to face off against the at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rocky Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Walker Carroll and Carter.
