Peyton strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Mitchell Marauders 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Trenten Compton made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Compton was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, Noah Martin was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zayden Ebbert, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Peyton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mitchell only posted an OBP of .385.

Peyton's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.0 runs this season. As for Mitchell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coming up, Peyton will venture away from home to take on Manitou Springs at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mitchell, they will welcome Arvada at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
