Dallas Center-Grimes waltzed into their contest on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Van Meter Bulldogs 8-2. Considering the Mustangs have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Dallas Center-Grimes' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Van Meter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-8 record this season.
