Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Winston-Salem Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 65-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cannon. While losing is never fun, Winston-Salem Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Cannon is ranked eighth).
NC GBB Academy National now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Winston-Salem Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.
