After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Skutt Catholic, Pius X was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They walked away with  a   21-14  win over the Standing Bear Grizzlies. The Thunderbolts' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Maddox Easley threw for 189 yards and two  TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes.   Charlie Morrow was his top target, picking up 78 receiving yards and a pair of  scores.  On the ground,  Noah Barnes rushed for 45 yards.
Pius X's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Standing Bear, their loss was  their fourth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  games. Pius X will square off against Beatrice at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Thunderbolts will be up against the Orangemen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 34  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Standing Bear, they will challenge Lincoln Northwest at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Grizzlies will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.14  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
