Football Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

After flying high against DeWitt Clinton two weeks ago, Lincoln came back down to earth. The Railsplitters came up short against the Tottenville Pirates on Friday, falling 43-20. While losing is never fun, the Railsplitters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Pirates are ranked ninth).

Lincoln now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Tottenville, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lincoln is set to face off against their familiar foe New Dorp at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tottenville will take on rival Eagle Academy II at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
