Baseball Recap: Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks vs. Northtown Pumas
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clemente, Steinmetz College Prep was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Northtown Pumas.

Elias Flores was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 13 over 4.1 innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Juan Pablo Jaramillo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Steinmetz College Prep's win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-22. As for Northtown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.
Coming up, Steinmetz College Prep will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus at 4:30 p.m. As for Northtown, they will square off against Pritzker at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pumas are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
