            Softball Recap: Weaver Bearcats vs. Ranburne Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Weaver blew Ranburne out of the water the last time the pair played, but  on Monday Ranburne got their revenge. The Bearcats fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of  6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Bearcats have suffered  since March 7th.
  Ashlyn Coleman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-3 with one  home run.  Ali Anderson was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Weaver has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record  this season. As for Ranburne, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weaver will take on Wellborn at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Ranburne, they will challenge Southeastern at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4  runs per game  this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
