Baseball Game Preview: Calhoun County Saints vs. Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans

For the second straight game, Calhoun County will face off against Ridge Spring-Monetta. The Saints will welcome the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calhoun County is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Ridge Spring-Monetta an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Calhoun County turned things around against Ridge Spring-Monetta on Tuesday. They blew past the Trojans 13-4. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Calhoun County got a massive performance out of Chris Glover, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one double. Those three runs gave Glover a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chippy Ayon, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Calhoun County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .619. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Ridge Spring-Monetta's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Calhoun County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
