Baseball Game Preview: Grand Island Vikings vs. Kenmore West Blue Devils

The Grand Island Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Kenmore West Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Grand Island managed to slip by Niagara Falls the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings lost 7-0 to the Wolverines on Friday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Kenmore West earned a 7-3 victory over St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute on Sunday.

Grand Island has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Kenmore West, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Grand Island took their victory against Kenmore West in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 14-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
