Soccer Recap: Coffee County Central Comes Up Short

Coffee County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Columbia Central Lions. Coffee County Central were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Columbia Central apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Coffee County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-3. As for Columbia Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3-1.

Looking ahead, Coffee County Central will challenge Spring Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Columbia Central will be paying especially close attention to the Red Raiders' game: after the Red Raiders face off against Tullahoma, they'll take on Columbia Central again at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
