Basketball Recap: Kettle Run Comes Up Short

Kettle Run was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 39-21 bruising from the Sherando Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-22 back in December of 2024.

Kettle Run's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Sherando, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.

Kettle Run and Sherando could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Kettle Run will face off against Skyline at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 259 places (338 vs. 79). Meanwhile, Sherando (ranked 240th) will meet Handley (ranked 68th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
