East Lansing and Holt are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The East Lansing Trojans will square off against the Holt Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

East Lansing came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against DeWitt, falling 73-36. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Holt beat Okemos 51-42 on Monday. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Wolves are ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Lansing's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Holt, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

East Lansing came up short against Holt in their previous matchup back in January, falling 65-52. Can East Lansing avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
