Volleyball Game Preview: Cathedral Phantoms vs. Bishop Montgomery Knights

Cathedral is 1-7 against Bishop Montgomery since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cathedral Phantoms will look to defend their home court against the Bishop Montgomery Knights at 5:00 p.m. Cathedral will be strutting in after a victory while Bishop Montgomery will be coming in after a defeat.

Cathedral not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024. They put the hurt on Bosco Tech with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Phantoms.

Cathedral never let Bosco Tech on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Bishop Montgomery unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Palos Verdes by a score of 3-2.

Cathedral's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Bishop Montgomery, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
