Basketball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Extends Winning Streak to Four

Whitehall-Yearling had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came out on top against Varsity Opponent by a score of 65-53.

Whitehall-Yearling's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayla Dukes, who went 12 for 23 to rack up 34 points and six steals. The game was Dukes' fifth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyeona Myers, who posted 16 points along with five assists and five boards.

Whitehall-Yearling's win bumped their record up to 18-4.

Looking ahead, Whitehall-Yearling will host South at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Whitehall-Yearling knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully South likes a good challenge. As for Varsity Opponent, they have already played their next contest, a 66-13 defeat against Duanesburg on the 8th.
