Volleyball Recap: Hartford Triumphs

Hartford lost to Union Grove on Saturday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Orioles skirted past the Broncos 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Orioles.

Hartford found their leader in sophomore Lydia Krasselt, who had five digs and two aces. Krasselt also set a new season-high mark in assists with 19. Kora Kirsch was another key player, getting 14 digs.

Hartford was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last six games.

The victory got Hartford back to even at 8-8. As for Union Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Hartford will head out on the road to challenge Cedarburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union Grove, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Westosha Central at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
