After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gloucester, West Point was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 64-28 victory over the Mathews Blue Devils. The Pointers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 27 points or more this season.

West Point has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.7 points over those games. As for Mathews, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

Coming up, West Point will face off against Surry County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Point is facing Surry County at the right time seeing as Surry County is stuck on a 22-game losing streak. Mathews does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
