Softball Preview: Fisher Bunnies vs. Tri-Valley Vikings

Fisher is 2-7 against Tri-Valley since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bunnies are taking a road trip to challenge the Vikings at 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Fisher's offense. They lost 13-0 to Tolono Unity on Tuesday. The Bunnies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tri-Valley came out on top against Prairie Central on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Vikings walked away with a 7-4 win over the Hawks. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Gretchen Wyant spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Zoey Whittaker, who went 3-for-4 with one home run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Freihaut, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
