Basketball Recap: Caitlee Gray Key Part of Team Effort in Salukis Win

Red Hill's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Sandoval Blackhawks by a score of 38-29. The team accrued 31 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Red Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caitlee Gray, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylee McDaniel, who put up ten points.

Red Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Red Hill now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sandoval, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Red Hill will challenge Casey-Westfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sandoval, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Webber at 6:15 p.m. on the 16th.
