Softball Game Preview: Starmount Rams vs. North Iredell Raiders

The Starmount Rams will take on the North Iredell Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Starmount will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Friday, Starmount was able to grind out a solid win over South Stokes, taking the game 11-8.

Meanwhile, North Iredell fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against St. Stephens on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 6-5. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Starmount pushed their record up to 10-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for North Iredell, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
