Football Game Preview: Ryan Cowboys vs. Medford Cardinals + How To Watch

The Ryan Cowboys will square off against the Medford Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ryan comes in on 12 and Medford on eight.

Ryan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They snuck past Tipton with a 32-28 win. Surprisingly, this marked the Cowboys' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Noah Torrez and Will Townsend were among the main playmakers for Ryan as the former rushed for 142 yards and a pair of TDs and the latter picked up 62 receiving yards and one score. Those 62 receiving yards gave Townsend a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Medford faced Timberlake in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cardinals claimed a resounding 72-40 victory over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won nine contests by 32 points or more so far this season.

Ryan's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Medford, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.

Everything came up roses for Ryan against Medford in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 46-18 win. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
