Recap: Florala Wildcats vs. Laurel Hill Hoboes
The Florala Wildcats won the last time they faced the Laurel Hill Hoboes, and things went their way on Friday too. Florala strolled past Laurel Hill with points to spare, taking the game 71-53. Given Florala's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 112th in Alabama, while Laurel Hill is ranked 586th in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Florala to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elijah McMeans, who scored 9 points along with 13 rebounds and 7 assists. McMeans hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Rayshon Coleman was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Florala has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Laurel Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Florala is on the road again on Saturday and play against Jay at 2:45 p.m. on December 9th. As for Laurel Hill, they will take on Central at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
